An Exploratory Journey of Deep Rest and Connection
Within every human resides the 5 subtle bodies that make up the wholeness of who you are as spiritual being exploring the human experience. These 5 layers are called the Koshas. Yoga philosophy teaches us that these 5 energetic layers or sheaths are the inner connection that weave from the outermost layer of skin to the deep spiritual core. The koshas provide a framework for conceptualizing ourselves. Much like the chakra system, the kosha layers come packaged with their own individual physiological function and psychology.
The 5 koshas include the physical body, energy body, mental(emotional) body, intuitive (wisdom) body and Bliss body.
This afternoon retreat will evoke deep rest and regulation of your nervous system. It will offer you the opportunity to meet and befriend the quiet voice of “body-speak”… The true sense of Homecoming. Enjoy an exploratory journey which includes Yin Yoga , Qigong, and somatic movement, pranayama (breath), play and Sound Healing. By tuning into stillness through these practices we will work on creating an intentional statement that expresses your heartfelt desire for creating a healing, wholesome, balanced life. The afternoon will conclude with the beautiful practice of Yoga Nidra- a somatic meditation that evokes the art of deep relaxation. It is here that you will plant the seed of your intentional statement...your intuitive connection to your innate potential and possibility.
The Power of Quiet Practice workshops are an evolving entity. The content and practices grow and change as does life itself. If you have previously participated and enjoyed one of these workshops, Sheila invites you to enter and embrace, once again, as the beginner. We are forever the beginner.
